How will my donation be spent?

Currently, our group is seeking to sponsor two families (3 adults and 9 children).

The Government of Canada requires that we have enough funds secured to support our families for one year after their arrival in Canada.

It will cost $52,025 for our two families to live for one year in Winnipeg. This budget is based on social assistance rates.

Will I receive a tax receipt? 

Hospitality House Refugee Ministries will issue a tax receipt for all donations.

You will receive an email thanking you for your donation, along with additional information about your tax receipt. 


When will I know more about the families? 

To protect the families' safety, we cannot provide specific information about our Families at Risk members, such as their names or current location.

However, we will keep you up to date on the progress and information about the families each month through our monthly newsletter.

Will you notify me when there is progress on the families’ sponsorship? 

We will update the website whenever there is progress on the families’ sponsorship or if something important occurs in the families' lives.
